Kwanza Norte: N'dalatando

N'dalantando is the capital city of Kwanza Norte Province. I was very impressed by how beautiful this area of the country is. As you can see, it was rainy most of the time I was there, which made the hills misty and the air cool. This used to be an area of major coffee production. It was very refreshing to be out of Luanda.

This is funje, the staple dish in Angola. It is similar to xima, or nsima, except that it is partly made from mandioc flour instead of only maize.
